Brush Gallery At SLU Marks 9/11 Anniversary With Three Exhibitions
The 10th anniversary of events in New York City and Washington on September 11, 2001 will be marked with three exhibitions at the Richard F. Brush Art Gallery at St. Lawrence University. All three will be on campus from August 17 through October 22, and all are open to the public, free of charge.

The Memoir Project, a new book by Trustee Marion Roach Smith '77, was featured in the Watertown Daily Times on August 7.
A grant allowing St. Lawrence and SUNY Potsdam to work together establishing an early literacy program in local schools was the topic of a Watertown Daily Times story on August 6.
Assistant Professor of History Howard Eissenstat was quoted in an August 6 article in The Economist, about conflict between politicians and the military in Turkey.
Dana Professor of Economics Steven Horwitz was a panelist on the Fox Business show "Freedom Watch" on August 3, debating the Federal Reserve, the national debt and other topics. An opinion piece by Horwitz about the demise of Borders, titled "When Bookstore Bullies Are Brought Low," ran in the Minneapolis Star Tribune August 8.
St. Lawrence's inclusion in the Princeton Review's list of the nation's Best Colleges was covered in an August 4 story in the Watertown Daily Times.
Director of Admissions Alison Almasian was quoted in an August 3 story in the Philadelphia Inquirer, on college tours and how to get the most out of them. The story also ran in the Sacramento (CA) Bee, on August 7.
Vice President for Finance Kathryn Mullaney was quoted in an August 1 piece on AOL's financial news site,, with advice for first-year college students on managing money.
A summer business started by Charlotte Edson '14 and a friend was included in a July 29, 2011 story in the Greenwich (CT) Time, about how students in that area were spending the summer.
