SLU Holding Meetings Seeking Input For Campus Planning
St. Lawrence University will hold a series of meetings to gather information and ideas that will assist in shaping the next plan for campus improvements and facilities. The University is working with Saratoga Associates, a higher education planning firm, in association with Beardsley Design Associates to seek input from the campus and community.

Student-Written Musical To Be Performed At St. Lawrence
"It's All Greek To Me," an original musical comedy written by two St. Lawrence University students, will be performed on Tuesday, March 6, through Thursday, March 8, at 8 p.m. each evening in Room 109 of the Noble Center. Admission is free, but tickets are required; they are available at the Gulick Theatre box office from Monday to Thursday, March 5 through 8, from 1 to 5 p.m.

Mathematics Honor Society Inducts 19 Students
St. Lawrence's chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon, the mathematics honor society, recently welcomed 19 new members to the organization. The University's chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon, New York Epsilon, was established in 1935. The national organization is "dedicated to the promotion of mathematics and recognition of students who successfully pursue mathematical understanding."

History Prof. Eissenstat On Panel Discussing Role Of Turkey On World Stage
Assistant Professor of History Howard Eissenstat was a panelist for an event titled "Turkish Democracy: A Model Abroad, Troubled at Home?," hosted by the Project on Middle East Democracy (POMED), discussing Turkey's increasingly important role on the world stage. The event was held February 22, 2012 in Washington, DC.

North Country Public Radio's Todd Moe To Receive Arts Council Award
North Country Public Radio morning host and producer Todd Moe will receive one of the St. Lawrence County Arts Council's Arts Recognition Awards, which honor people from the North Country "who have made a significant contribution to the arts and cultural life of our region."

Study-abroad programs for first-year students were the focus of a story in the college section of USA Today's Education website on February 21. St. Lawrence's First-Year Seminar in France was highlighted, with Abigail Ross '15 quoted.
Dana Professor of Economics Steven Horwitz was quoted in a February 22 article on the website Salon.com, titled "How 'uncertainty' didn't kill the economy."

Women's Hockey Upsets Dartmouth, Advances in Playoffs
The fifth-seeded women's hockey team traveled to No. 4-seed Dartmouth for the ECAC quarterfinals and won the first two games, 4-3 in overtime and 2-0, to advance to the league semifinals. The Saints will play No. 2 Harvard in the semfinals at Cornell this weekend. Men's hockey earned home-ice advantage for the first round of the ECAC playoffs by beating Dartmouth 3-1 Saturday, after losing to Harvard 4-1 the night before. The Saints host Dartmouth this weekend. Women's basketball advanced to the LIberty League championship game with a 56-55 win over Union, but then lost in the title game, 79-75 to Vassar. Alpine skiing placed second at the EISA, the best finish in program history. For nordic sking, Caroline Carpenter '12 placed in the top five in the 5K free. Riding claimed its second-straight regional high-point championship. Women's track placed second at the state championships at Hamilton, while the men placed fifth. Women's squash dropped a 6-3 decision to Vassar in the third-place game at the Epps Cup. Swimming capped its season by setting four new records at the state meet, with the women placing eighth and the men ninth.
