Commencement Website Includes Photo Album, Speeches
The Commencement web site has been updated with facts about the ceremony and graduates; texts of speeches delivered; and a photo album. Video of the ceremony and audio files of speeches will be added later this week.

Olivia Birdsall '11 is one of 54 Woodrow Wilson Indiana Teaching Fellows, selected by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation.

Ten Students Named 2012 McNair Scholars
Ten students have been selected as scholars in the Ronald E. McNair Post Baccalaureate Achievement Program for 2012. The program encourages the pursuit of doctoral study by involving students in multiple research-intensive experiences and providing extensive advising by faculty mentors. In addition, students named McNair Scholars receive grant-funded stipends for their research work, along with opportunities to visit graduate schools and attend professional conferences.

Three Students Honored At Biology Honorary District Conference
Three members of the Class of 2012 received honors at the Beta Beta Beta 2012 Northeast-1 District Convention recently. All three - Taylor Moon, Lalita Priyamvada and Eddie Richter - are members of St. Lawrence's chapter of Beta Beta Beta, the biology honor society.

The USA Today College Blog ran a story about St. Lawrence's "doggie de-stress" event, held before final exams, on May 17.
Professor of English Bob Cowser Jr. won the Owen D. Young Outstanding Faculty Award from the Class of 2012, offering him the opportunity to deliver the class' "last lecture" during Senior Week. The text was published in the online news site The Huffington Post on May 17.

Track teams Prep for NCAAs at ECAC Meet
Eliza Bell '15 set a school record in winning the high jump at the ECAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships at RPI last weekend, and in the process qualified for the NCAA Championships this coming weekend in Claremont, CA. Carly Stine '15, who will also be headed to California, was second in the 400 intermediate hurdles and Divya Biswal '15 was third in the triple jump. For the men's team, the 4x100 relay placed third.
