Grant Will Assist SLU Library With Digital Collection Project
St. Lawrence University has been awarded a grant of $8,297 by the Northern New York Library Network to assist the University in improving its collection of digitized versions of items in its library collection.

Micropaleontology Consultant Giving Talk At SLU Geology Alumni Conference
St. Lawrence University Class of 1973 graduate Art Waterman, president of PaleoData, Inc., a New Orleans-based micropaleontology consulting company, will give the R.O. and Vera Bloomer Lecture on Friday, October 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Hepburn Hall, Room 218. The event, part of the Geology Alumni Conference, is open to the public, free of charge.

Voter-registration efforts at St. Lawrence County's four colleges were detailed in a feature story in the Watertown Daily Times on September 21. published an essay by Assistant Professor of History Howard Eissenstat on September 20, 2012, on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's involvement in the US presidential election.

Caligiore Paces Women's Golf at Mount Holyoke
Aimee Caligiore '13 tied for 15th with a two-day total of 164 to help the women's golf team to a ninth-place finish at at the Mount Holyoke Invitational. Men's golf qualified for a spot in next spring's Liberty League Championship, led by Graham Niles '15 with back-to-back rounds of 73. Despite outshooting Skidmore 20-10, men's soccer suffered its first defeat of the season, 1-0. Women's soccer played to a scoreless tie with Skidmore. Volleyball beat Bard but lost to RIT and Vassar at the Liberty League roiund-robin competition in Rochester. Football fell to 0-4 with a 31-20 loss to Union. Field hockey lost 1-0 to Union, but bounced back for its first win of the season, 6-1 over Vassar.
