Website Collects Students' Interviews From English Course
Students in the course Reading the American West, taught by Visiting Associate Professor of English Jill Talbot, interviewed a dozen people who either live and work in the west or write about the region, and have published the interviews on a website. Each student contacted a person currently living and working in the west, or a writer who has written about the west, in order to broaden their study beyond the classroom and the required fiction and nonfiction readings, film viewings and discussions. "Students were encouraged to interview individuals with whom they shared an interest," Talbot says.
