St. Lawrence To Hold Service Marking Martin Luther King Jr. Day
A sacred song service called "Let Freedom Sing" will be held on Monday, January 21, at 5 p.m. in Gunnison Memorial Chapel at St. Lawrence University, for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday. The service will include a reflection by President William L. Fox. It is open to the public.

Art & Hockey Exhibition At St. Lawrence's Brush Gallery
An exhibition called "Game On! Art & Hockey," curated by Associate Professor of Art and History Kasarian Dane, will be in St. Lawrence University's Richard F. Brush Art Gallery from January 21 through March 5. It is open to the public, free of charge.

Music Of 'Organ Masters' On Tap For January Recital At SLU
The noon-hour recital at St. Lawrence University on Friday, January 25, will feature music by the "organ masters," Dietrich Buxtehude, Johann Sebastian Bach and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The event begins at 12:15 p.m. and is free of charge. The audience is encouraged to bring a lunch to enjoy while listening.

Johnny's Selected Seeds Supports Sustainability Semester
When the Sustainability Semester begins at St. Lawrence on January 21, students in the program will have some big goals, including producing vegetables for students in successive semesters to eat. They're getting help with that from Johnny's Selected Seeds, a Maine firm that has donated a wide variety of vegetable seeds to the program.

Women's Basketball Adds to Unbeaten Streak
The women's basketball team won their first three Liberty League contests against Skidmore (67-52), Vassar (81-60) and Bard (49-34), extending their winning streak to eight games. Men's basketball went 2-1 in conference action, defeating Skidmore (76-64) and Bard (75-60) and losing a close game to Vassar (48-47). Women's hockey kicked off the second half of ECAC Hockey play with a four-point weekend on the road against Yale (5-1) and Brown (4-3) and men's hockey split the weekend, falling to Yale (5-3) and defeating Brown (3-2) in Appleton Arena. Men's and women's track and field competed at the Ottawa Super Saturday event, Alpine skiing took sixth at the UVM Carnival and men's and women's squash battled with Cornell.
