St. Lawrence Speaker to Present on Conflict, Peace in Northern Ireland
Jon McCourt will discuss the role he played in bringing peace to his Northern Ireland community during a talk at St. Lawrence University on Wednesday, February 13, at 7 p.m. in the Griffiths Arts Center, Room 123. The event is open to the public, free of charge.

Assistant Professor of History Howard Eissenstat was a source for several stories about the Turkey Embassy bombing, including The Associated Press (AP), ABC News, CTV, Al-Jazeera and PRI's The World.
The St. Lawrence women's ice hockey team hosted the social media event "Saints Go Social" during their game against Clarkson University on Saturday, Feb. 2 and it was featured in the Watertown Daily Times sports section on Sunday, February 3, 2013.
Grace Potter '06n of Grace Potter & the Nocturnals was interviewed by the Watertown Daily Times about her upcoming visit to St. Lawrence on Feb. 10 for the band's 10th anniversary show. The story ran in the Sunday, February 3, 2013 paper.

Women's Hockey Earns Split With Rival No. 6 Clarkson, Win at 'Saints Go Social' Event
The Saints women's hockey rallied to down No. 6 Clarkson 3-2 at Appleton Arena Saturday during the first Saints Go Social night, an event encouraging fun and safe usage of social media. Clarkson opened the weekend by downing the Saints 3-1 Friday. Men's hockey defeated Cornell 4-2, but let a 3-1 lead slip away in a 3-3 tie to Colgate Saturday. Women's basketball dropped a 79-54 decision at Vassar after beating Bard 66-41and Clarkson 69-47. Men's basketball suffered a tough 84-80 overtime loss to Vassar, but beat Bard 58-43. Earlier in the week, the Saints lost 69-64 to Clarkson. For Nordic skiing, Austin Meng '15 earned his first top 10 finish at the UVM Carnival. Men's track and field had a first place and a second place and women's track and field had two firsts at the Ithaca Invitational. Men's squash, ranked No. 9 in the country, blew past Hamilton 9-0 and No. 15 Navy, also 9-0. In swimming and diving, the women beat Utica 140-75 and the men also beat Utica, 112-85.
