| St. Lawrence Students Going Bald During Clips for Cancer Several St. Lawrence University students will have shaved heads thanks to the Clips for Cancer event on Friday, February 15, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Winston Room on the first floor of the Sullivan Student Center. The event, hosted by the Pre-Health Club, is open to the public to take part in or watch. The purpose is to support funding and research for childhood cancer. Full Story |

Rebecca Solnit, described by Utne Reader as one of the “25 Visionaries Who Are Changing Your World,” will speak and read from her recent work as part of the St. Lawrence University’s Writers Series on Thursday, February 14, at 8 p.m. in the Common Room of Sykes Residence Hall. Ella Martin '16 and Divya Biswal '15 earned the major meet awards as the St. Lawrence women's track team claimed its third straight Liberty League Indoor Track Championship title at RIT. Men's track placed second as Spencer Patterson '16 was named outstanding track performer. Women's basketball swept its weekend series, beating RPI 78-56 and Union 63-53, after a tough 46-44 loss at Skidmore earlier in the week. Men's basketball went 1-2, beating Skidmore 67-61, but losing to RPI (86-82) and Union (80-73). Men's hockey dropped a 4-3 overtime decision to RPI, but rebounded by holding off Union 4-2. Women's hockey beat Union 3-1 and skated to a 1-1 overtime with RPI. Nordic skiing placed a relay team in sixth place at Dartmouth, while Alpine skiing had two top 20 finishers. The No. 9-ranked men's squash team downed No. 16 Middlebury 9-0, while women's squash dropped a 9-0 decision to Middlebury. More Saints Sports |
