Varick Chittenden '63 wanted to turn memories into folklore in honor of his class' 50th Reunion, held May 30-June 2. More than 70 of his classmates were scheduled to record their memories and stories for archival purposes. The Watertown Daily Times published a story on Saturday, June 1, about the oral history project. Read the story
Glens Falls High School is about to finish its first year with a later start time. All the while, researchers from St. Lawrence University, led by Associate Professor of Psychology Pamela Thacher, collected data from students and teachers seeing if the later start helps or hurts kids in the classroom. Fellows Named Crew All-American
Maggie Fellows ’13 from the women’s crew team was named a Division III Pocock Second Team All-America by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA). Men’s tennis players Michael Hayden '13 and Paul Barrett '16 earned Liberty League All-Conference honors for their performances over the 2012-13 season. Morgan McNeal '16 from the women’s tennis team was named the 2013 Liberty League Women's Tennis Rookie of the Year for her performance throughout the 2012-13 season.  Elkie Vandenbeemt '15 and Shannon Murphy '13 joined McNeal in being recognized as All-Conference selections. Former men's hockey player and Canton native Al Bloomer ’64 will be presented the 2013 Walter Yaciuk Award by USA Hockey at its Annual Conference on Wednesday, June 5.
