Critical Language Scholarship (Intensive Language Study Abroad) Information Session

- Monaco Room (Student Center 242)
General Event

The application is now open for the 2023 Critical Language Scholarship Program.

Anne Warren, Assistant Director of Employer Engagement, is St. Lawrence's Critical Language Scholar (CLS) Advisor and will be hosting an information session for those interested in learning more about the Critical Language Scholarship program.

The CLS Program is a fully-funded program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State that provides intensive overseas language and cultural immersion and is open to U.S. students enrolled at St. Lawrence University.

Through CLS, students spend 8-10 weeks abroad to learn one of 14 critical languages and earn academic credit for their work. The scholarship includes travel expenses, coursework, group excursions, and even a small stipend to cover your daily living expenses. Most languages offered by the CLS Program do not require applicants to have any experience studying critical languages.

The deadline to apply for the scholarship program is November 15, 2022.  Please note that the CLS program is open only to U.S. citizens.
