- Peterson-Kermani Performance Hall
Concert

The String Orchestra concert promises to be an exciting and unique musical experience that will transport the audience into the world of video games.

The Orchestra will bring their skills and passion to every note, breathing new life into beloved themes and exploring new musical horizons. This exciting program features music from the following classic video games: Super Mario Bros., StarCraft II, The Legend of Zelda, Bounty Hunter Theme from Advent Rising, Minecraft, Apotheosis from Journey, and a closing medley including Halo, Bounty Hunter Theme from Advent Rising, Civilization IV, and Kingdom Hearts, conducted by Music Director Christian Hosmer.

This semester, the SLU String Orchestra has recruited woodwinds, brass and percussion to form a full symphony orchestra of over 50 musicians.  These musicians form a supportive collaboration of students and faculty from St. Lawrence University and the Crane School of Music, along with other professional and semi-professional musicians from the greater Northern New York community.  Our talented musicians come from Canton, Potsdam, Russell, Colton, Massena, Gouverneur, Brantingham Lake, Antwerp and Philadelphia, New York.

The concert is free, open to the public, and in-person, with live streaming. Watch the Livestream.
