Job Description: 

Locate electronic and print material requested by other institutions using the systems side of the Illiad Interlibrary Loan software, and the integrated library system that is part of ODYsseus. This means mastering library systems distinct from public systems, the systems student workers use require an understanding of all of the processes in Interlibrary Loan.  This takes training and for a student to be an effective worker the training must be successful, and it must be expedient.

Send electronic copy of articles using method of delivery most likely to ensure a turnaround of
twenty four hours or less.  Students must understand the interoperability between delivery systems, and have adequate training to make correct decisions about the best method of delivery. 

Photocopy articles and prepare requested materials for mailing. Process borrowed material using Illiad online interface, producing labels and distributing materials for patrons, utilize UPS Campus Ship system, make sure patrons are notified of the arrival of print materials, and check out books using both Illiad and ODYsseus.
Answer phone and walk in questions when needed, and take accurate messages.

During certain weeks of the semester students must be able to accommodate a sharply increased workflow that corresponds with semester deadlines.
