Amenities

As a seasonal campground that operates from June to mid-October Canaras consists of 10 cabins, a dining hall, conference room, boathouse, private beach, and numerous recreational spaces. 

Recreation

At Canaras, you’ll have free lake access so you can explore all that Upper Saranac has to offer using our complimentary canoe, sailboat, paddle boat, and water ski rentals. 

When you’re not taking in the Adirondack scenery from our floating dock or making s’mores at the lean-to, explore our walking trails, game rooms, tennis and basketball courts, beach, swing sets, and library.

Dining & Facilities 

With an on-site chef, we’ll keep you well-fed with three meals a day and plenty of options to suit your dietary needs.

If you want to reconnect and reset, Canaras has complimentary Wi-Fi and onsite laundry facilities.

Located next to our on- site library, deBrun Cottage features two bedrooms and a living room with a fireplace.

Steps away from our private beach, Brown Cottage is a two bedroom cabin featuring a living room with a fireplace.

Harding Cottage is conveniently located next to our dining hall. The cabin has a shared bathroom and a living room with a fireplace.

Jackson

A four-bedroom cottage with two single beds in each, Spruce comfortably sleeps eight guests and includes two bathrooms, each with a tub and shower.

Hoffmann Cottage is located near our private beach and is a five-bedroom cottage that includes a large living room with a fireplace, Hoffmann comfortably sleeps nine guests.

The Main Lodge

The Main Lodge, located near the Caretaker’s Workshop, comfortably sleeps 10 and features a dining room, five different bedrooms, and six bathrooms.

Nepahwin Cottage

Nepahwin Cottage, tucked between Harding and Jackson cottages, is a two-level cottage with a living room, three bedrooms downstairs, two bedrooms upstairs with one shower.
