Students take full advantage of their semester abroad
Physics majors Ryan Carvel '24 and Tyler Karasinski '24 are both spending this semester studying abroad in New Zealand. They received a Center for International and Intercultural Studies (CIIS) travel grant to explore Tekapo, New Zealand. While there, they went to the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve, and visited the University of Canterbury Mount John Observatory for an evening of stargazing. Even though there was a full moon, Ryan and Tyler enjoyed views of the Moon, star clusters and other celestial wonders.
