    Sustainability Program Receives Mars Wrigley Grant for Interdisciplinary “Chocolate Passport” Experience

    St. Lawrence University students interested in all things chocolate are now able to embark on a tasty year-long adventure that includes studying chocolate’s rich history and its impact on past and present culture thanks to a recent grant from Mars Wrigley, the world's leading manufacturer of chocolate, chewing gum, mints, and fruity confections.

    Breaking Barriers to Learning: Professor and Student Present Research at National Conference

    Pro tip: if you ever sign up for an Environmental Studies course titled “Practicum,” don’t wear you cool new “first-day-of-school” shoes to the very first session. I learned that lesson this semester when I registered for a class that revolves around helping to build an energy-efficient greenhouse at St. Lawrence’s Living Lab.

    St. Lawrence University to Offer Peace Corps Prep Certificate Program

    St. Lawrence University has established a new partnership with the Peace Corps centered on an undergraduate certificate program that will combine targeted coursework with hands-on experiences and build the competencies needed for students to be strong Peace Corps volunteers or other intercultural fieldworkers.

    Aspiring doctors, Appalachian naturalists, impassioned advocates, and more. Members of St. Lawrence’s Class of 2020 entered a rapidly-shifting world after graduating during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic in May 2020. One year later, they have returned after meeting the challenge with great resilience, compassion, and determination.
