    Following a highly-competitive nationwide contest, Shiru Kimani ’22 has been selected for the U.S. Department of State Thomas Pickering Fellowship Program, an award that fully funds a two-year master’s degree program for students pursuing a degree relevant to the conduct of U.S. foreign policy.

    St. Lawrence University to Offer Peace Corps Prep Certificate Program

    St. Lawrence University has established a new partnership with the Peace Corps centered on an undergraduate certificate program that will combine targeted coursework with hands-on experiences and build the competencies needed for students to be strong Peace Corps volunteers or other intercultural fieldworkers.

    St. Lawrence Faculty Earn Tenure, Receive Promotions

    St. Lawrence University announced the promotion of several faculty members at the start of the 2021-22 academic year. The promotions were celebrated during the University’s annual Convocation, which was held Wednesday, August 25. All promotions are effective September 1, 2021.

  9. Dr. Giardino Co-Organizes Conference

    Alessandro Giardino, Co-Chair of WLCM (World Languages, Cultures, and Media), Coordinator of European Studies and Associate Professor of Francophone and Italian Studies, was the Co-Chair and Co-Organizer of the conference "Voyage to Italy" held at the Sant’Anna Institute, Sorrento, Italy on July 10, 2021. Giardino also delivered the keynote address "Naples in the Travel Journals Before the Grand Tour.

  10. Dr. Giardino Included In Anthology of Queer Italian-Canadian Writing

    Alessandro Giardino, Co-Chair of WLCM (World Languages, Cultures, and Media), Coordinator of European Studies and Associate Professor of Francophone and Italian Studies contributed with a short story to Here and Now: An Anthology of Queer Italian-Canadian Writing . The short story, titled "Micheal," is a stand-alone modified excerpt from his forthcoming novel.
