Student Leadership Retreat

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. 

Please read below for workshop descriptions. Every recognized club and organization on campus needs to send a minimum of one representative to part 1 and one representative to part 2. You can send a different individual to represent your group each day. Student leaders can represent up to 3 clubs/organizations for attendance. If you want to send more than one representative to either part, that is fine too.

Retreat Part 1: Friday, January 18, 2019 from 3-6PM

Building For An Inclusive Future: Essentials of Being a Student Leader

Location: Eben Conference Center  

Dinner will be provided during this session

This interactive afternoon workshop will provide an overview of the many tools needed to be a effective student leader on campus. Attendees will leave the workshop able to navigate a great semester for your organization, as well as plan to set your organization up for success for many semesters to come.

Retreat Part 2: Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 10AM-4PM

Building For An Inclusive Future: Conflict, Dialogue and Understanding

Location: Eben Conference Center  

Lunch will be provided during this session

This day-long workshop is broken into several components and will help student leaders from all backgrounds work to understand conflict, appreciate varied experiences across difference, and understand each other and how to make our campus community more inclusive. This workshop will include a performance of narratives that explore and deconstruct various structures of power to build allyship and self-liberation.
