Joe Wilkins is the author of the novels The Entire Sky and Fall Back Down When I Die. Wilkins is also the author of a memoir, The Mountain and the Fathers, and four collections of poetry, including Thieve and When We Were Birds. His work has garnered critical acclaim from a host of venues, including Kirkus, Booklist, the Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, Outside, Southern Living, and High Country News. His many awards and honors include the High Plains Book Award, the PEN Northwest Wilderness Writing Residency, and an Oregon Career Literary Fellowship. Born and raised on the Big Dry of eastern Montana, Wilkins now lives with his family in the foothills of the Coast Range of Oregon, where he directs the creative writing program at Linfield University.
