Professor of Biology Erika Barthelmess' lab group presents at the Northeast Natural History ConferenceProfessor of Biology Erika Barthelmess and four of her research students presented at the 2024 Northeast Natural History Conference on 20-21 April in Albany, New York. The team presented three posters, including one co-authored by Assistant Professor of the Math, Computer Science, and Statistics Department Matt Higham. Attending, in addition to Barthelmess, were Marliese Baer '24, Olivia Bernier '24, Kelsey Similer '25 and Jessica Harman '27. |
Senior Conservation Biology major Olivia Bernier recently presented work from her senior thesis at the Northeast Natural History Conference in Albany, New YorkOlivia Bernier '25 delivered a poster titled “Determinants of Forest Health in St. Lawrence County, New York” at the Northeast Natural History Conference in Albany, New York. In the poster, Olivia presented a subset of the results of her senior project in which she is investigating forest health in five state forests near Canton, New York. |

A Week of Winning!Saints baseball recorded their first sweep of league play over the weekend, downing RIT with three wins, 14-6, 4-1 and 10-9, all in nine-inning contests on Friday and Saturday. Entering the final week and a half of the regular season, the Saints play Clarkson in a three-game series beginning Friday with playoff implications for both teams. The Saints currently occupy the fifth seed in the Liberty Leagues west division, with five teams making the postseason. Both men’s and women’s tennis teams took victories in their league play over the weekend, with men’s tennis beating Bard 9-0 and went 1-1 overall on the week, also losing to RPI. Women’s tennis also downed Bard 9-0 and engaged in a close match against RPI, narrowly losing 5-4. Yvette Karara '27 was perfect on the weekend, including a 2-0 day in the tight defeat against the Engineers. Esports season officially came to an end on a 4-1 playoff loss to Kennesaw State. The team enjoyed a successful campaign, finishing second in the Northeast Region and top 14 in the nation within their division of the National Esports Collegiate Conference. Jimmy King '26 tied for sixth place to lead the St. Lawrence men's golf team at the Farmingdale Spring Invitational over the weekend at the par-70 Bethpage Black Course in Long Island, New York.
