Congratulations to Shanice Arlow ’20 who recently coauthored an article with Dr. Michael O’Hanlon of the Brookings Institution on Africa’s Covid-19 situation which was published in The National Interest. Shanice was awarded the African Security Initiative internship with the Brookings Institution and worked remotely full-time this summer 2020 under the supervision of Dr. O’Hanlon.
Shanice graduated cum laude from St. Lawrence University in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Global Studies and minoring in African Studies. She received a St. Lawrence University Center for International and Intercultural Studies (CIIS) Fellowship grant to conduct research in Namibia in July 2018 with Dr. Madeleine Wong, Associate Professor and Chair of the Global Studies Department.
