Dr. Sweigart-Gallagher Publishes Book Chapter on the Theatrical Legacy of Lorraine Hansberry's Raisin in the Sun
Dr. Angela Sweigart-Gallagher published a book chapter on the theatrical legacy of Lorraine Hansberry's Pulitzer Prize-winning play A Raisin in the Sun. In the chapter, she examines how five playwrights have used A Raisin in the Sun as source material and she discusses how each playwright incorporates themes, characters, plot points, or dramatic structures to both embrace and push against Hansberry's legacy.
