Dr. King called the songs of the Civil Rights Movement, “the soul of the movement”. Through this 45 minute program, Musician-in-Residence, Sondra Goldsmith Proctor, will present Spirituals and Civil Rights Songs on the Pipe Organ, highlighting African American composers.
Rev. Dr. Shaun Whitehead will provide commentary on these genres. The program features a message to campus and community from President Kathryn Morris.
