The Mathematics, Computer Science and Statistics Department Holds Annual Dinner
On January 30, the Mathematics, Computer Science and Statistics (MCSS) Department held their Annual Dinner. This year the event was held at Sergi’s Canton Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria. This year approximately 70 students, faculty and staff gathered to socialize and share some information.
Faculty shared some information about a wide range of topics including internships, summer fellowships, departmental resources, the MCSS LinkedIn group, graduate schools, senior projects, honor societies and local conferences for undergraduates.
The dinner is an event that the MCSS department at St. Lawrence University holds annually as a way to celebrate our department. Each year the department has one of the highest percentages of graduates among colleges and universities around the U.S. Filled with a strong faculty of teacher-scholar-mentors, the MCSS department offers degrees in mathematics, computer science, statistics, and data science. The department also has a very strong placement rate among graduate schools and industry.
