North Country Public Radio has been recognized with five regional Edward R. Murrow Awards.
Awards were given for the following:
- Newscast: Story of the Day: Ottawa Shooting, reporter Sarah Harris
- Feature Reporting: Sixteen and Homeless, reporter Sarah Harris
- News Series: Sixteen and Homeless, reporter Sarah Harris
- Hard News: What If 10% of the Population Went to Prison, reporter Natasha Haverty
- Sports: Borscht Belt Sports Legacy, reporter David Sommerstein
The Radio Television Digital News Association has been honoring outstanding achievements in electronic journalism with the Edward R. Murrow Awards since 1971. Murrow Award recipients demonstrate the excellence that Edward R. Murrow made a standard for the electronic news profession.
