PCA Professor Dan Gallagher Lights Up Area Stages
Professor Dan Gallagher spent the spring and summer of 2022 creating lighting designs for theatre companies across the region. In May, he worked with Vermont Stage in Burlington, Vermont to design Lucas Hnath's The Thin Place, a suspenseful drama that thrilled audiences, including a group of St. Lawrence University students who traveled with the PCA department to see the production during its run. In July, Dan worked with local artists to bring the frothy musical Once Upon a Mattress to life as part of the Community Performance Series at SUNY Potsdam. Dan shares his expertise in lighting design with St. Lawrence students in his regularly scheduled courses PCA 103 Stagecraft and PCA 303 Stage Lighting.
