Rachael Jones, Visiting Assistant Professor in Ceramics at St. Lawrence University, had a gallery exhibition and other projects this term.
The "Trace Remains" gallery exhibit was available Wednesday, August 18, 2021 to Thursday, October 7, 2021 at the Richard F. Brush Art Gallery. The original gallery talk for the exhibit was not possible due to the ongoing pandemic so Rachael, and photographer Ryan Parker, did video presentations in explanation of their respective works. You can see some of the work and the video presentations on the Richard F. Brush Gallery website here...

Seed-Saving Walk and Talk with Dan Kelleher and Rachael Jones at littleGrasse Community Farm 10/9 (Canton, NY).
In this final garden visit, the community was invited to participate in a walk and discussion at littleGrasse Community Farm (Canton, NY) focused on ideas and practices of seed-saving. Saving seed that’s been reproduced is essential for continued eating as well as for preserving varieties of food that have special meaning to individuals, communities, and the region.
The local NPR radio station, North Country Public Radio (NCPR), also did an interview with Rachael on Friday, October 10, 2021. You can listen to the recording of it at the following URL...

The Seed Bank Project
Rachael also founded this project. A seed bank is a storage container (often made of clay) that is specially designed to create a controlled, interior climate so as to maximize the seed's potential viability.
