Saint to Saint Women’s Summit Launched in November
St. Lawrence students engaged with guest alumnae and parents as part of the inaugural Saint to Saint Women’s Summit on campus.
President Kathryn A. Morris delivered the keynote address and students were invited to attend a series of discussions on topics such as the dynamics of women in the workforce, balancing work and family life, negotiation skills, and leadership.
“To do well, you need to be well,” says Mary Baucom ’13, associate marketing director at Hearst, member of the Alumni Council, and guest mentor at the summit who met with students. “Today’s younger generations arguably feel the pressure to do well in all aspects of their lives, from how they perform in the classroom to how they perform on the court or field to how they perform in various social situations...This is a weekend I won’t forget, and it’s another reason of how fortunate I am for the female friendships and mentors I started curating during my own undergraduate years.”
The summit was organized through the Center for Career Excellence in partnership with University Advancement and the Office of the President.
