St. Lawrence was featured on NNY360 News for hosting the annual “Fastest Kid Competition.” This competition took place at the University’s Newell Field House and originally began after St. Lawrence University Head Men’s Cross Country and Track Coach John Newman attended the Milrose Games, the prestigious and historic indoor track meet, in the early 2000s in New York City.

Children of all ages are invited to bring their letters to Santa's mailbox until December 24 for immediate delivery to the North Pole. Brewer Bookstore has even arranged a deal for every child who delivers their letter to receive a gift from Mrs. Claus.

St. Lawrence University’s Gunnison Chapel, along with the St. Lawrence Choral Society and the Laurentian Singers, were highligthed in News Channel 7’s coverage of the annual Candlelight Service which featured the lighting of over 250 candles, symbolizing the power of community. This service is a tradition which began at St. Lawrence in 1921.
