Sponsored by IBM, the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) is an annual, multi-tiered competitive programming competition among universities worldwide. The contest commenced at Texas A&M University in 1970 and has since expanded to encompass branches and chapters globally.
On Sunday, November 10, 182 teams participated in the East Central and Northeast North America East Division across 12 satellite sites. Notably, the “Saint Not Found” team, comprising St. Lawrence University students Nikolai Edkov ’27, JJ Ignac ’27, and Leon Lin ’26 (as depicted left to right), competed at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) alongside seven other teams from RIT, the University of Rochester, Hamilton College, and SUNY Oswego. Each team dedicated five hours to solving thirteen challenging problems. Edkov, Ignac, and Lin successfully solved six problems, securing second place at the RIT site and ranking 55th in the division.
