  2. Remington Museum 2024 Student Juried Art Exhibit Opening Reception

    The Remington Museum 2024 Student Juried Art Exhibit will be holding an online Opening Reception on March 1, 2024. The reception will take place via Zoom on Friday, March 1 from 6:00 to 7:00pm. Eleven students from St. Lawrence University submitted works that are included in the exhibit.

    The Frederic Remington Art Museum is pleased to invite student artists at Clarkson University, St. Lawrence University, SUNY Plattsburgh, and SUNY Potsdam to submit entries to the 2024 College Student Juried Art Exhibit. Artworks in all visual media using any combination of materials and techniques are welcome. Accepted artworks will be displayed in the Richard E. Winter Gallery and the Torrey Family Gallery at the Frederic Remington Art Museum and online at fredericremington.org.

    One of the Art & Art History department’s own, Dr. Chandreyi Basu, SLU Associate Professor of Art & Art History, has developed a beautiful and exhaustive exhibition of artwork from Contemporary India. Using her extensive knowledge and background in teaching she has pulled into one exhibition a wide range of contemporary artwork.

    Big Ink Extravaganza

    Five students in L.M. & G.L. Flint Professor of Fine Arts Melissa Schulenberg's Advanced Printmaking class were invited to participate in printing large woodblock prints with Big Ink at SUNY Potsdam.

    On April 19, the Art & Art History Honorary Society welcomed new honorees for the 2022-23 school year. The formal induction ceremony was held on Friday, April 28 just prior to the Senior Art Show at the Richard F. Brush Art Gallery.

    Four St Lawrence University students will have their work included in the 2023 College Student Juried Art Exhibit at the Frederic Remington Art Museum this Spring. An online Opening Reception will be held via Zoom on Friday, February 24 from 6:00 to 7:00pm.

  10. Brush Gallery Digitizes Historic Haudenosaunee Charts

    A series of Haudenosaunee educational charts from St. Lawrence University’s Owen D. Young Library Special Collections was recently digitized by staff from the Richard F. Brush Art Gallery. The charts, part of the Arthur and Shirley Einhorn Iroquois Collection MSS No. 196, were a gift to the University from the Einhorn family in 2015.
