Seniors and Families of the Class of 2025,

Register for Commencement Housing and Events starting March 24, 2025.

On behalf of St. Lawrence University, we would like to extend congratulations as you anticipate the culmination of your undergraduate education at St. Lawrence. We work to prepare seniors for final responsibilities throughout the spring semester and to provide families with information as you make plans to attend the Commencement weekend.

Commencement weekend events begin the afternoon of Friday, May 16 and conclude on Sunday, May 18 at 10 a.m. with the Commencement ceremony in Newell Field House. 

Academic Regalia: Caps and gowns are available for purchase at the Brewer Bookstore during Senior Week. No advance ordering is needed.

Accessibility: The University provides special seating for individuals who require accessibility accommodations. Registration for these individuals and a companion can be made during the March registration for housing and events.

Accommodations: Rooms in the residence halls and parking spots for RV’s are available on Friday and Saturday night of Commencement Weekend. Housing and RV registration begins on March 24. A link to the registration site will be sent to parents and students by email and provided on the Commencement website. Payments must be made by credit card.

Announcements: Custom graduation announcements may be purchased through Balfour.

Commencement ceremony: The ceremony is held at Newell Field House. There is no limit on graduates’ invited guests and tickets are not required. The procession will begin promptly at 9:40 a.m. on Sunday morning. The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. and a reception for graduates, families, faculty, and friends will follow.

Dining: The St. Lawrence University website provides information and links to the Best Western County Seat Restaurant and other area restaurants. Reservations are encouraged.

Events: Some Commencement events require registration. A link to the registration site will be sent to parents and students by email and be provided on the Commencement website. Event registration begins on March 24. Payments must be made by credit card. Please consult the Schedule of Events for details.

Photography: Genesee Photo Systems captures the moment each student receives their diploma. Digital proofs will be provided on Genesse’s website soon after the ceremony and can be purchased directly from the firm. Instructions and a link for preregistration will be available on the commencement webpage.

Yearbooks: Capture your graduate’s senior year with a St. Lawrence Yearbook. You will find information to order a yearbook and place an ad at the Josten’s online store.
