For the stand-alone major and all combined majors, the following courses must be taken on campus at St. Lawrence University: all Environmental Science and Policy (ESP) courses, and all required dual-listed electives.
For students undertaking double majors and including environmental studies as one of the two majors, no more than two courses dual-listed with the department of the second major may be counted toward the environmental studies major.
For the stand-alone major, no more than two ENVS electives can be counted from other institutions and University-approved abroad/away programs (with the exception of ENVS 101). For all combined majors, only one ENVS elective can be counted.
A major in environmental studies cannot be declared later than the end of the eighth week of a student's fifth semester, or equivalent.
