J. Calvin Keene Award
Name of Honor: J. Calvin Keene Award
Established: 1974
Awarded by: St. Lawrence University
Criteria: The Keene Award is given to a faculty member in recognition of high standards of personal scholarship, effective teaching and moral concerns by which Dr. Keene has conducted his personal and professional career.
Eligibility: Any faculty member is eligible for this award.
Selection process: Nominations are solicited each spring by the Dean of Academic Affairs staff. A selection committee is composed of the faculty Vice-Chair of the Professional Standards Committee, the Chair of the Faculty Council, the University Chaplain, the Dean of Academic Affairs and the president and vice president of Omicron Delta Kappa. This committee forwards a recommendation to the President.
Opportunity for presentation: The Keene award generally is given at Convocation each fall.
