Louis and Frances Maslow Award

Name of Honor: The Louis and Frances Maslow Award

Established: 1981

Awarded by: St. Lawrence University

Criteria: The Maslow Award is given annually to a faculty member who has shown the most interest in and understanding of the education and welfare of the student body as a whole.

Eligibility: The recipient may be any member of the faculty chosen by the President from among nominees selected by a committee consisting of the Dean of Academic Affairs, the Chair of the Professional Standards Committee, the Vice-Chair of the Faculty Council, the President of the Senior Class, and the President of the Thelomathesian Society.

Selection process: Nominations are solicited each spring by the Dean of Academic Affairs staff. The selection committee membership is stipulated by the endowment fund language and is cited above.

Opportunity for presentation: The Maslow award generally is given at Convocation each fall.
