In Memory: Denise York

I write with the sad news that Denise York, who retired from St. Lawrence’s Dining Services staff, died on April 12.

Denise joined the University staff in 1996 and began her retirement at the end of 2017.  Her colleagues recall her mischievous sense of humor, her fondness for practical jokes that kept the atmosphere light, her passion for Halloween that inspired creative costumes, her dedication to her work station’s cleanliness and organization, and of course her devotion to students.  I saw that myself, Denise bringing a smile to students. 

Lynn and I send sincere condolences to Denise’s daughter Bridgette Nelson, who works in Dining Services herself.  We will share the family’s plans to remember Denise when those plans are announced.
