Good Samaritan Policy
Medical Attention (Good Samaritan Policy):
The health and safety of our community members is a top priority. No punitive or disciplinary action will be taken against students as a result of them seeking treatment or other medical attention for themselves or for another student who takes ill as a result of alcohol consumption, drug consumption or prescription drug misuse.
New York’s 911 Good Samaritan law protects you even if you shared drugs with others or possess paraphernalia. The protections do not extend to outstanding warrants, probation or parole violations, drug sales, and other non-drug crimes.
