After spending three years at Binghamton University, Alan Lockard has returned to St. Lawrence University as a visiting assistant professor of economics. He previously served in the same capacity in the 2005-2006, 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 academic years. He holds the following degrees: B.S in Film from Syracuse University, B.S.M.E. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hartford, M.S.C.E. in Computer Engineering from Florida Atlantic University, M.B.A from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, M.A. in Economics from Trinity College, and M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from George Mason University. His teaching and scholarship focuses on the economics of the public sector. He will be teaching Principles of Economics and a few upper level courses related to the public sector.
