Allie Liu

Allie Lu is originally from Taiwan which is an island in the Pacific Ocean with beautiful coastline, warm weather, very friendly people and delicious food.  She received her B.A and M.A. with high honors from National Taiwan University, where she majored in Chinese Literature. Ms. Lu was awarded a scholarship to study overseas, so she decided to change her major to pursue her passion in Art History.  She earned her M.A. in Art History from UW-Madison. Prior to joining SLU, Ms. Lu worked as a Research Assistant at National Taiwan University and CKIP Research center at Academia Sinica for several years. In addition to her career in higher education administrative support, she also worked as a lecturer in college. 

Ms. Lu joined St. Lawrence in November 2017 as a digital resource curator for Department of Art History. In October 2018, she assumed the new role of chief clerk in the Community-Based Learning office. In this role, she is responsible for  managing the day-to-day operations of the Office of Community-Based Learning. She also supervises student staff members (Community Mentors and Social Meida Coordinators) in the office, as well as manages CBL Database and website.  In July 2022, her role was expanded to be the chief clerk in the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Assessment. Ms. Lu provides clerical support for the Director of the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Assessment, maintains records and website of Assessment Committee, manage and process requests for funding, coordinate Faculty Development events and May College. In November2023, her role was expanded to be the chief clerk in the Office for Diversity & Inclusion. Ms. Lu provides support for Associate Dean for Diversity & Inclusion in  budgeting and events planning, manage and process requests for funding. Ms. Lu enjoys morning walk, swimming, reading and music in her free time.
