Anna Carpenter
Anna was born and raised in Whitefish, Montana where her love and joy for recreating in the outdoors was fostered from a young age. She traveled East for college at St. Lawrence University where she gained an appreciation for the Adirondack State Park. While at St. Lawrence, Anna was a student guide for the Outdoor Program (OP) and studied Psychology and Education. Anna’s experience traveling and working with the OP sparked her interest in Outdoor Education. She received a Master’s in Education while working as the Program Coordinator for the SLU OP. This experienced solidified her belief in the transformative power of outdoor spaces as educational opportunities. Since her time as a student, Anna’s work in Outdoor Education has brought her around the world and introduced her to amazing places and people. She loves sharing her passion for the outdoors with others and, in her role at St. Lawrence, is committed to making the outdoor program more inclusive and accessible for all students. A few of Anna’s joys include making food and playing cards with friends, going on adventures with her dog and partner, reading, and playing in the snow.
