Christian Hosmer
Christian Hosmer is Instructor of Strings and has been Director of the String Orchestra at SLU since 2003. He attended the Manhattan School of Music in NYC and the Crane School of Music in Potsdam. He has studied Composition with Dr. Laura Karpman and received numerous awards, including one from ASCAP in 1986 for Composition. He plays violin, viola, and cello professionally, and has been 'cellist with the Trillium String Trio since 1993. Mr. Hosmer is currently a member of The Conductor's Guild and ASCAP, and has arranged over 200 works for string orchestra and string trio. He performs regularly, teaches extensively, conducts orchestras at the Trillium Music Center in Watertown, and is currently Music Director of the Northern Lights Orchestra.
