Elizabeth Girard
Elizabeth "Lizzy" Girard '17 is the Senior Assistant Director of Career Exploration with the Center for Career Excellence. Lizzy oversees the student side of the LINC Mentoring Program and manages the CCE Intern Program. Lizzy leads the Center's effort in equity and access-based programming and has a particular focus on serving and supporting underrepresented, first-generation, low-income and non-US students. Lizzy also serves as a Career Coach for all students.
Lizzy graduated from St. Lawrence University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, double majoring in Music. As a student, Lizzy studied with the Danish Institute for Study Abroad Program in Copenhagen, Denmark. As a student she was the recipient of the Tanner Fellowship, Excellence in Community-Based Learning Scholarship, Center for Career Excellence Internship Fellowship, Charles Ives Award in Research, the Romeo/Gilbert Intercultural Endowment Grant and was inducted into the Ives Society. She graduated from Clarkson University with her Master of Business Administration in 2022.
Prior to joining the Center for Career Excellence, Lizzy served as the Associate Director of the Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) at Clarkson University, and Advisor to the Clarkson University chapter of the nation's largest association dedicated to fostering Latiné/x/Hispanic leadership in STEM, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE).
