Florence Molk
Florence Molk is presently completing a PH.D. in historical sociology. Her primary research consists of exploring the European Union as a space of policing. She has taught several sociology courses, but she is now teaching courses on Race, Class, and Environmental Justice and Global Problems. She is an associate of the Fernand Braudel Center at Binghamton University, where she participated in a research-working group that completed a study of the STCWE (structural trend of the capitalist world-economy) seeking to determine trends in the level of profit in five leading industries across the centuries. She has published in The Journal of Philosophical Economics. Her areas of specialization are world-systems analysis, historical sociology, historical policing, political economy, gender and migration, and environmental justice.
