After graduating from Unity College with a B.S. in Environmental Science (Ecology), I worked on numerous organic farms throughout New England. I gained agricultural experience with maple sugaring, dairy, produce, livestock and cut flower production. Since 2002, my husband and I have operated an organic vegetable farm in Lisbon, NY.
While farming and raising three children, I worked various part-time jobs from baker to Audubon teacher-naturalist. In 2018, I earned an M.S.T. (Masters of Science in Teaching – Biology) from SUNY Potsdam. My main interests are in the areas of botany, bats, the history of science and scientific literacy. Personal interests include; drawing/illustration, hiking, snowshoeing, swimming and cycling.
