Prof. Brezault presented a paper
Eloïse Brezault has just presented a paper at a workshop on “Language of Disease in the Contemporary Francophone World.” The workshop was organized by the Institute of Modern Languages Research (University of London). Prof. Brezault talked about the representations of illness and epidemics in the latest movie by French-Senegalese director Mati Diop. She examined how gender politics and immigration crisis inflect the language of disease. Her paper was entitled “Ghosts, Intruders, and Epidemics in Atlantics by Mati Diop.”
