Professor Patti Frazer Lock Gives Invited Presentations at Three Recent Conferences
Professor Patti Frazer Lock, in the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics, recently gave keynote or invited addresses at three conferences. Professor Lock gave an invited keynote address at the NEISM24 conference in Boston titled "Modernizing the Intro Stat Course." She served on an invited panel at the Joint Statistics Meetings in Portland, OR, where she spoke on "Innovations in Introductory Statistics." She also gave an invited keynote address at the online eCOTS conference on "An Update on the College GAISE Revision Process."
Patti Frazer Lock is a professor of mathematics and statistics in the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics at St. Lawrence University. She is a co-author on six highly regarded and successful books in mathematics and statistics, all in numerous editions. She has served on or chaired many national committees, and is currently chairing the Steering Committee of the American Statistical Association to revise the College GAISE Report. She has won numerous presentation and teaching awards, including winning both the Keene Award and the Maslow Award at St. Lawrence University. She is passionate about finding ways to help students succeed at and enjoy courses in mathematics and statistics.
