Students Receive Gilman Scholarships for Off-Campus Study
Congratulations to Derek Sherrange '22, Benjamin Barba '22, and Wanjiru Kimani '22 who have received a prestigious Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship to study off campus.
The Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, is an undergraduate grant program for U.S. citizens, enabling Americans to study abroad, thereby internationalizing their outlook and better preparing them to thrive in the global economy.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, St. Lawrence University has cancelled spring 2021 off-campus study, however the Gilman program has generously offered these students the opportunity to defer their award and study abroad plans to a later date. Congratulations to our students for receiving these well-deserved scholarships which will support their study abroad plans in the future.
