Students in the St. Lawrence University London Program are immersed into the city immediately. The semester includes 10 weeks of courses, followed by a month-long work experience at a London organization.
Sarath Novas ’23 is currently abroad in London and is participating in a work placement with Time Out London, which has locations in cities all over the world and publishes stories about events, food, and attractions in those cities. Several of Sarath's recent news pieces published online by the group have covered Record Store Day, things to do in London for Earth Day, and other springtime events.
Electives from eight departments are offered, with the courses being taught by British faculty with a wide range of expertise. The classes include site visits to galleries and museums, attending live plays, and watching British politics in action. Recently students visited the Latvian Embassy and met Arturs Saburovs ’10 who serves on the diplomatic staff.
Students live at homestays in greater London throughout the semester.
