Caitlin French '23 knows how to make connections. As she heads into her final year at St. Lawrence, she's reflecting on how her passion for music, dedication to service work, and the alumni network helped her build a community on and off campus.
In the middle of Congo Square, Malik Bartholomew, our tour guide, said, “I would like you all to close your eyes in honor of the resilience and musicality of enslaved Africans on American soil.” Standing in the heart of Louis Armstrong Park, located in New Orleans, I felt that this was a sacred place.
While studying abroad in Copenhagen, Hayden '22 put his econ & global studies double major to the test during the Arctic Opportunity Explorers Challenge. Working with students from across the globe, he devised solutions to real-world problems in the Arctic.

They spent a week networking with members of our top-ranked alumni network and gaining insights into possible career paths—all while immersing themselves in the work/life culture of this historic city.
After four years, the positive impact that Shedrack Bogonko '22 has made on his alma mater is visible. A government and business in the liberal arts combined major, Shedrack's legacy is one to be proud of.

In recognition of her compassion for students and commitment to going above and beyond for the St. Lawrence community, Student Activities and Leadership staff member Ashlee Downing-Duke was awarded the Kathleen Buckley Outstanding Staff Member Award.
St. Lawrence’s new biomedical sciences major is hands-on, experiential, versatile, and designed for students who are curious to explore big questions regarding health and disease. Associate Professor of Biology Karin Heckman and Sarah Johnson ’82 Professor of Biology and Psychology Ana Estevez illuminated the benefits of majoring in biomedical sciences at a liberal arts institution, shared what makes St. Lawrence’s program unique, and illustrated how faculty and staff will support their students’ wide range of possible career aspirations.
During the May 2022 Board meeting, the St. Lawrence University Board of Trustees elected their leadership for the 2022-23 year.
