Why did you choose SLU to start your pursuit of a health career?

When I initially made the decision to attend SLU after high [school] a career in health was not even on my mind. Rather, I had received an army scholarship to SLU and figured that it was a good place to enter a science field considering its small size and student to faculty ratio. After my first year, I began to develop an interest in medicine, but I had no idea how to pursue this type of career or the appropriate measures to take. Kari, one of the pre-health advisors at SLU, guided me towards the steps I needed to take in order to apply to medical school. I couldn’t have asked for a better pre-health program, or university to send me off on my next adventure.
