Pharmacy

To become a pharmacist, you must earn a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree after graduating from SLU. The pre-requisite courses for these programs vary, so it is important to look closely at the programs to which you plan to apply. Observation hours are not required, but shadowing is important to learn more about this career and to demonstrate your interest. There are a variety of pharmacy settings (drug store, hospital, etc), so be sure to observe in different settings.
